Camps for boys WINO
Founded in 1908
This camp is only for boys from 7 to 17 years old
Location: It is next to a large lake and surrounded by mountains in Maine (New England) on the East Coast of the United States.
Capacity: 275 campers (divided into age groups)
Ages:
Junior-boys
(from 7 to 11 years old): 60 campers
Intermediate
(from 11 to 13 years old): 90 campers
Senior
boys (from 13 to 15 years old): 70 campers
CIT, Counselor`s In Training (from 16 to 17 years old): 18 campers
Counselors: 90 (1 for every 4 campers)
Sports and Activities:
Swimming, sailing (yachts), canoeing, windsurfing, kayaking, tennis, climbing, archery, shooting ¨22¨ rifles, equestrian, fishing, volleyball, frisbee, rowing, ecology, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, arts and crafts, theatre, film watching, studying and collecting minerals, photography, woodworking, handicrafts, ¨rope course¨, canoe, kayak, and hiking excursions on various days, campfires, etc.

Assessment: extraordinary camp with great traditions. The older campers enjoy sleeping in large wood cabins situated right next to the lake. There is a great variety of competitions and activities with other camps. They have excursions for up to 10 days. |
