Camp for girls WYO
Founded in 1902 (the oldest camp in the US)
The camp is only for girls.
Location: right next to a large lake and surrounded by mountains, in Maine (New England) on the east coast of the United States.
Capacity: 190 campers (divided into age groups)
Ages:
Junior
(from 7 to 10 years old)
Intermediate
(from 11 to 12 years old)
Senior
(from 13 to 15 years old)
CIT, Counselors-In-Training
(from 16 to 17 years old)
Counselors: 85 (1 for every 2 campers).
WILDERNESS TRIPS

For girls older than 14 there exists an options for ¨Wilderness Trips¨, which are excursions from 3.5 or 7 weeks going hiking and/or canoeing and kayaking. These dates coincide with the camp dates and you can change one of the 2 excursions for one of the sessions of camp.
Sports and Activities:
Archery, canoeing (there are 40 canoes), canoe excursions for up to 6 days, hiking, equestrian, rock climbing, ¨rope course¨, shooting ¨22¨ rifles, windsurfing, sailing, soccer, waterskiing, swimming, trampoline jumping, synchronized swimming, lifeguarding course, tennis, dancing, aerobics, drama, arts and crafts, ecology classes, ceramics, drawing, handicrafts, musical productions, etc.

Assessment: This historical camp is great because it separates the kids by age by putting each group in a distinct zone. They have iLARumerable activities and a high number of counsellors for the kids. The cabins and sports facilities are situated in a large area next to a majestic lake.
